Wolfie gets a little help with his driving

I’m an exceptionally well-travelled Wolfie.

Although there's nothing I like more than driving up to the football, I also like to think that I'm a Wolfie With Culture, and not ashamed to make time to see the world.

This page contains some pictures from my travels (and I've also added a lovely soundtrack from the lovely Josh Ritter. Enjoy!)

Latitude Festival, Southwold, Suffolk, July 2008

Wolfie checks out the musical vibes Here I am, slightly obscuring whatever dull bad was on the main stage. There were some pink sheep.  Their conversation was poor. Wolfie never quite fixed in his mind if this was animal cruelty or not
Wolfie surveys a scene of despair and desolation I saw that the festival attracted all sorts of strange and confused people - even, it seems, some West Brom fans.  Guess what happened next...only kidding, kids; don't play with matches I have decided not to try out body building. This is not nice

Berlin, April 2008

Wolfie at the Olympic Stadium. Note, no Nazi salute. That would not be funny at all. The Olympic Stadium The Reichstag Wolfie at the Reichstag. All in perfet taste
Wolfie at the Berlin Wall. Couldn't climb it The Berlin Wall Some German roads.

Not a particularly funny place, Berlin.

Wolfie finds his way around the big city

La Rosiere, France, February 2008

Snow in France Snow in Italy.  Spot the difference.

La Manga, Spain, January 2008

Trying to get into shot in Cabo de Palos Checking out the (closed) pool at the hotel
Visiting the (practically deserted) beach Surveying the (still busy) golf course.  When do people stop playing golf?

La Rosiere, France, December 2007

I am so cool I can ski and dress up in a comedy outfit Here I am taking some time out outside Tignes
Santa Wolfie shows off his moves... ...and soaks up some Froggy culture

Hong Kong and Beijing, September 2007

Wolfie at wall

Here I am at the Great Wall of China.
It was great.

Wall renders Wolfie speechless
Wolfie lost in frills Trains between Beijing and Hong Kong were done out in the classical 'tart's boudoir' style of interior decoration Hong Kong was big and busy... Wolfie looks down on Hong Kong from Victoria Peak
Wolfie shops in Mong Kok ...and hot and crowded. I tried the local cuisine... Wolfie hasn't got the hang of chopsticks
Drinks on Victoria peak ...and the local drinks. I liked the local drinks. Wolfie drains the glass
Wolfie sticks his hand up a lion's nose

Here's a lesson to anyone who might think it's funny to mess with the HSBC lions.

Don't stick anything up a lion's nose.  It ends badly. It's not a real lion
Wolfie had a picture of himself hi-5-ing the big budda, but it came out wrong And a lesson in perspective.  I am not, in fact, bigger than the budda here... ...It is, in fact, a very big budda. Sorry, I really can't be bothered to write any more alt names.

Cornwall, August 2007

Wolfie at Newquay

Went to Newquay.  Tried to surf.
Turns out I absorb water.

Newquay beach sans Wolfie

Yorkshire Dales, August 2007

Here I am at Bolton Abbey... ...cheery little place.
To be honest the next day I didn't get out much, worried about the rain and the effect on my fur... ...very pretty though I hear.  I was able to imagine how it stayed so green.

Norfolk (Coltishall & Great Yarmouth), August 2007

Wolfie at Horstead Mill It was hot, hot, hot... ...and so was I Wolfie soaks up the Sun at Coltishall
Wolfie shows that Wolves have returned to winning ways Here's one of my favourite holiday snaps. Unfortunately I couldn't get on any of the rides at the Pleasure Beach at Yarmouth. Wolfie fails the test at the Pleasure Beach

La Manga, Spain, June 2007

Here I am at the airport... ...and then straight by the pool to cool down
Isn't that pretty.  I quite like the flowers too. The natives were not all friendly.  I tried to strike up conversation, but to no avail.

New York, USA, April 2007

Hey hey.  I've gone worldwide!  Here is an iconic image. Here I am enjoying a little boat trip out in Central Park
And although I'm definitely a creature of football (or soccer, should I say), I thought I'd try out a bit of transatlantic sporting action.   Frankly, it was rubbish. Another iconic image.  And also some old statue.
As a Brighton resident I thought it was only right I took a trip to 'Brighton Beach'  Everyone, and I mean everyone, was Russian.  A little surreal. All the fun of the fair at Coney Island.
Don't even ask how I got up there. As ever, I made a few new friends on my travels.  This was not the most attractive of them.

La Rosiere, France, February 2007

Did I not look cool... ...although less so when I wouldn't look down on the chairlift
I attracted quite a lot of attention out on the town.  I think this was because I'm so hard that I wear shorts and t-shirts whatever the weather - certainly people pointed a lot It was good to get out on the slopes to get away from the constant attention.

Norfolk Broads, January 2007

As part of a cultural exchange programme and to bring you an in depth understanding of the pros and cons of 'the Graham Souness question', I went out with some bird from Newcastle As well as talking football, we visited some of the major local attractions...
...and here it is. At the end of the day, Monty the bird made the right decision (we were going to exchange shirts, but I am too muscular for the puny bird).

Wales, August 2006

Wolfie somewhere in Wales We stayed somewhere I avoided pronouncing for the whole holiday I made some good friends, and we plan to keep in touch Wolfie and his goat friend
Wolfie with Bad Swan Not such a good friend (and he's not smaller than me, just further away) It was very pretty there wolfie by a dam
wolfie by the river I pondered life by the riverside... ...and scanned the horizon for an end to the ceaseless rains Wolfie scans the horizon for a sign of the end of the eternal rains

Norfolk Broads, June 2006

Enjoying the view... ...and making new friends

At the Sea, June 2006

Wolfie on a bench at the sea I don't get out much, so even a trip out the house counts as a holiday Soaking up the sun Wolfie sunbathing. He did apply sunscreen, so remember to too

Ireland, April 2006

Wolfie checks out Ryanair's Safety instructions On the plane Checking out other drivers Wolfie waves to passing cars and is disappointed when no one waves back
Wolfie gets a helping hand to navigate airport security On the move Looking over the sea near Dubin (regretting sitting in a gorse bush) Wolfie sits in a bush
