In this football lull, I want to take the opportunity share some of my other cultural interest with you, and to reminisce about the 2009 ‘Heroes Run’ which took place on Hove seafront earlier this year.  It was a really fun event in support of the Passingiton charity, and a great excuse (were an excuse needed) to do a bit of fancy dressing. And it turns out that there are literally hundreds of people out there just waiting for any opportunity to dig out the lycra and get running.

The event even saw the record for the ‘largest number of superheroes in one place’ broken, although sadly I don’t think I got counted.  Possibly they were out off by the slightly alarming rubber effect all over body suit I was wearing.  Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think the other Batman used such low quality fabrics – I can’t see Christian Slater putting up with any of this crap.  Tut Bear Factory.
