Have you ever embarked on a task that seemed like a good idea at inception, but actually takes a lot more time and effort that you’d really expected?

So it was with the creation of my replica cup to celebrate Wolves’ Championship victory.

Monty collapses under the weight of expectation

Still, I think you’ll agree that it was worth it in the end, especially when Monty Magpie (that deluded Newcastle supporting beastie – pictured), enraged by his owns team’s even poorer recent record in bringing home silverware, made a lunge for the cup only to trip and fall. But while Monty has a few more games to suffer through, we can all start thinking of the long hot summer ahead and look forward to a golden future.Let’s savour this moment, because it’s not going to be the same next year.

Still, I for one, cannot wait!
