I have previously expressed my great admiration for the club’s greatest merchandising item – the “Dave Jones Scarf” (pictured left).  I firmly believe that a serious mistake was made in not producing a similar Glen Hoddle item.  As the club enters a new era, there is no better time to atone for this error.  I have used my own modest talents to give you an idea of what a fine and desirable item the “Mick McCarthy Scarf” really would be, and on the right you can see my own humble tribute to the new man at the top.  I think this should be enough to convince anyone that this gem would be a surefire hit with the fans, and I will try to write to the club in the next few days to bring this matter to their attention.
