To look at the positives:

1. Stefan Maierhofer showed that he could be a strong striker in this division
2. Wolves conceeded 2 less than in the corresponding fixture last time round.

However:

1. Wolves defensive frailties were entirely apparent and Blackburn looked strong but didn’t have to be too good to exploit them.
2. No one except Maierhofer will get a good write up.

Wolves will have to – and can – do better next week.
