A rather ambitious prediction, I feel, but I’m looking forward to Wolves travelling to Goodison Park and coming away with something. After the disappointment of losing to Portsmouth before the international break, Wolves will be back and raring to prove the doubters wrong.
Critically, Kightly and Ebanks-Blake will have a little more time and fitness behind them. These are two players who will have the ability to make a crucial difference to Wolves survival chances this season. It’s too soon to pass any judgement on Kightly’s influence so far this season, but I’m hoping for more from Ebanks-Blake. He’s yet to show the form and fire of last season, but seems to be a slow starter, and I’m backing him for a goal today.
Wolfie picks:
Hennessey
Foley – Berra – Mancienne – Elokobi
Kightly – Edwards – Milijas (as Castillo is only just back in the country) – Jarvis
Doyle
Ebanks-Blake
However, there have been strong hints that Zubar may be in with the chance of a place, and if he’s up to I’d like to see him in central defence, with Mancienne on the left.
