Wolfie posing in Val d'Isere

Hard as nails us Wolfies

I know that many of my beloved fans have been wondering that I have done as much holidaying as of old, so I just wanted to update on my latest jaunt.  I spent the week of 20th-27th March skiing in Val d’Isere.

Despite the usual handicap of a distinct disinterest among the French shopkeepers in supplying equipment for the needs of their, shall we say smaller, clients, I had a lovely week.

The temperature was rising and the lower slopes unattractive, if ski-able, but a mountain of snow on the 26th/27th and a drop in temperature should have been enough to set up a decent final few weeks of the season.

I’m hoping to plan a ski holiday soon, and have been reminiscing over past trips with a little flick through the Wolfie family album:

On the Life of a Wanderer

What’s it like supporting Wolves?  Sometimes a picture is all you need.  Thanks to the folks at Flume Gorge, NH for so neatly summing it up.

Wolfie goes all oriental

Time to brush off the old photo album. I actually visited Hong Kong in September 2007, but since I moved my site I haven’t reposted my old travels entries. What better time to dust off the old photo album…

Behind the Curtain of Celebrity with Wolfie

Friday, August 21st, 2009

Happy Friday folks!

Wolfie does his thing on a bridge
Wolfie does his thing on a bridge

I hope you’ve noticed my lovely new ‘Wolfie of the Day’ feature. I don’t want to get all geeky, but I am quite excited about this. This uses a nice widget to display latest photos from my Flickr feed. Utilising my AirMe application on my iPhone I can just ask one of my photographer friends to snap me, wait a few seconds, and see my ruggedly handsome face on the net. Thus can a Wolfie like me, with no particular technical expertise and just my good looks and charm to make my way in the world, do so pretty nifty stuff.

Anyhow, enough about me (as if!). I wanted to take this opportunity to allow you a privileged glimpse behind the modesty screen of celebrity.

Fresh from my recent trip to the New World, I want to tell you today about my visit to Flume Gorge at Franconia Notch State Park. Here you can see me enhancing the natural beauty of the scene, as usual.

But how did we arrive at this fine scene? It turns out I am seen as slightly temperamental by some.

Although I don’t know what that boy is making that face for.  Nothing seems untoward to me…

Wandering in the White Mountains

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

Hello loyal readers. Firstly, a warm welcome to my shiny new website. I’ll be doing a bit more work to it but it seems to be working.

Today, though, I wanted to show you a few hot-off-the-press pics of my recent hols in New Hampshire (a bit of rest and recouperation before the hard work of witnessing the new football season begins).

I stayed in a lovely B&B called Bishop Farm where, as you can see, I made plenty of new friends.

Wolfie: Southern pansy turns tough guy

Wolfie shows who the real tough guy is

Wolfie shows who the real tough guy is

I‘m just back from a little jaunt to the Norfolk Broads.  I will admit that a little disappointment in Wolves loss to Reading in their final preseason friendly, combined with a little exuberance before the start of the new season, both played a part in the ‘incident’ you can see pictured here.  But mainly, this bird deserved a lesson having tried to humiliate me online.  Let it be noted who struck the first blow (and also, of course, that I’m the clear winner in any encounter with that puny bird, or indeed his team).

(no toys were harmed in the filming of this story)
